Dr. Zhou Shenghai of School of Business Administration has published two papers in an high-level international authoritative journal as the first author.
Dr. Zhou Shenghai’s A Hierarchical Selection Algorithm for Multiple Attributes Decision Making with Large-scale Alternatives has been published in Information Sciences (a top journal in the field of information management), an international famous authoritative class-A journal. Aiming at the large-scale multi-attribute decision-making problems, the paper designs a hierarchical selection algorithm to identify the dominant patterns of alternatives with the idea of divide-and-conquest and integrating hierarchical clustering and convex optimization. The algorithm can clearly show the decision-making process and dynamically update the dominant scheme. Numerical experiments verify the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed algorithm in the paper.
His paper Coordinated Appointment Scheduling with Multiple Providers and Patient-and-Physician Matching Cost in Specialty Care (online) has been published in Omega:The International Journal of Management Science (JCR Zone-1, ABS 3-star), an international authoritative journal in the field of management science. The problem of doctor assignment and patient appointment scheduling in a random environment is studied in the paper. Because of the uncertainty of the length of visiting a doctor and the patient’s behavior of breaking an appointment, a stochastic optimization model is constructed and an effective algorithm is proposed. Based on the analysis of the problems, the lower bound of the optimal solution is proved and the effective feasibility cuts are constructed to speed up the algorithm.
Dr. Zhou Shenghai graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2019 with a doctorate in management. He is now an internal associate professor of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and a young academic leader. His research areas include uncertain decision-making, appointment scheduling, medical operation management and optimization. He has published more than ten academic papers in authoritative journals at home and abroad so far.
