On 14 December 2019, China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC) announced the list of the first batch of outstanding case teachers (in 2019), and Professor Haibo Hu from the School of Business Administration of our university was selected.
The competition for the application of national outstanding case teachers was fierce. Universities and colleges across the country first examined and approved, and then recommended a total of 219 teachers (each school was limited to select one teacher) to the CDGDC. After going through application materials screening, expert review, teacher on-site defense, and other procedures, 19 outstanding case teachers were finally selected, accounting for only 8.7% of the selection ratio.
In recent years, Professor Haibo Hu has been committed to case teaching and case study. He led his team to publish one English case paper, which was included in both Harvard Business Publishing and Ivey Publishing, the world's largest case base. As the first author, he and other co-authors also published five case papers, which were among the national 100 excellent management cases. In addition, he presided over the completion of the first batch of video case projects of the Ministry of Education. He also published three case papers that were included in China Business Administration Case Center of Tsinghua University, 20 case papers of digital enablement project (DEP) in both Chinese and English, and six case books (including one English case book). Moreover, as the first author, he won two first prizes of Provincial Teaching Achievements, one second prize and one third prize of Provincial Social Science Excellent Achievement Award. Furthermore, he won the second prize of Annual Excellent paper of the Chinese Institute of Business Administration twice. Among the 20 CSSCI and SSCI case papers he has published, the full texts of two papers were reprinted by Renmin University of China photocopied newspaper materials.
