Invited by the Research Center for Innovation and Strategic Human Resource Management(ISHRM), Lisa Schurer Lambert, associate professor of managerial sciences and the Ph.D. program director in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Chair of the Research Methods Division of the Academy of Management, hosted the workshop entitled"Research Methods Workshop on Moderated Mediation"in Room 516 of Yinfu Building on Mailu Campus from October 13th to the morning of 14th. Prof. Jie Yang, director of ISHRM, chaired the lectures. Some faculties and graduate students from ISHRM Center and School of Business Administration attended these lectures.
Using the empirical data about job satisfaction and related influence factors as an example, Prof. Lisa elaborated the specific steps and key points in doing moderation analysis, mediation analysis, moderated mediation analysis, and multi-level analysis. Prof. Lisa also answered all the doubts and questions with great patience that faculties and students had met in research methodology area.
Finally, Prof. Jie Yang encouraged all the participants to express their views about this workshop. Faculty representatives and students present all shared the same feelings that such a learning-by-doing workshop can help participants master new knowledge and improve professional skills, which will benefit their future studies and learning.
