On the afternoon of October 31,ISHRM hold the 1st seminar in Room 713 of Gongshang Building on Mai Lu Campus. YongXu, a postgraduate student, shared the literature “A critique of the ActiveAgeing Index” and“Complementing AAI at the Meso Level: The Silver Work Index”.The members of the center attended the seminar, Professor Jie Yang,the director of the center, chaired the seminar.
In the first stage ofsharing, Yong Xu briefly described the origin and development of theSilver Work Index (SWI), and highlighted the concept of Houseof SWI, which deeply interpreted the eight dimensions of the SWI. In the second stage, after introducing the connotation of Active AgeingIndex (AAI), Yong Xu shared the calculation method, actual usefulness as well as future development direction of AAI, and put forward his own points of view.Finally, the attendees exchanged their gains and doubts of the literature shared today, and deepened the understanding of SWI&AAI while solving the problems.
Subsequently, Professor Jie Yang talked about the long-term and short-term plans of the center and made preliminary work arrangements, then he pointed out the direction of the further work of the center. The academic seminar was a complete success.
