I. Brief Introduction
The School of Business Administration (SBA), originally called the Industrial Economy Department, was founded in 1979. In 1992, the name was changed to the Business Administration Department. Since 1998,it has had the current name the School of Business Administration. Now SBA has a total number of 114 teaching and administrative staff. It runs a good number of programmes of three degree levels including one doctoral programme, three postgraduate programmes and five undergraduate programmes. Currently, there are 2048 undergraduates, 588 postgraduates (of whom 523 MBA students) and 37 doctoral students studying at SBA. Keeping it in mind to put management thoughts into practice, SBA is committed to cultivating entrepreneurship in business administration following the university motto of Fidelity, Excellence, Integrity and Dedication. These years SBA has been making great efforts to innovate and improve and has achieved great success. In 2014, it was awarded an Excellent School of the National Education Area.
The School consists of 4 departments (Enterprise Management Dep., Marketing Dep., Human Resource Dep. and Logistics Dep.), 6 scientific research institutes or centers (Research
Center of Cluster and Enterprise Development, Research Center for Innovation and Strategic
Human Resource Management, Joint Research Center for Sino-British International Business
and Research,Research institutes for Eastern Management, Case Study Center, Enterprise Research Institute), and 2 social services agencies(Enterprise Consulting Center and Manager training Center).
The School always attaches importance to the career development of its teaching staff. A prominent team has been formed with well-balanced structure of age, academic background, teaching experience and research competence.
The School has a total number of 118teaching and administrative staff, of whom 85full-time lecturers, 12 part-time lecturers, 31 professors,39 associate professors, 21 doctoral supervisors, 67 master supervisors as well as 75 PhD students. Among them there is 1 National Model Teacher, 2 professors who have received special state allowance, 1 professor who has received special provincial allowance and 13 young academic leaders of Jiangxi Province.
