In order to further broaden the international perspective of our students and guide the students' future company operations and governance, on September 27th , the School of Business Administration held a special academic lecture on the theme of Corporate Governance in the conference room on the fifth floor of the Yingfu Building. Our school specially invited Hong-jing Liu, a professor at Taiwan Shih Tzu University and chairman of the Taiwan entrepreneur, Zijintang Group, as the speaker of the lecture. Dean Haibo Hu of the School of Business Administration hosted this lecture. There are more than 100 students attended.
At the beginning of the lecture, on behalf of the teachers and students of our school, Dean Haibo Hu expressed his sincere welcome and thanks to Professor Liu Hongjing for his long-distance visit and guidance, and warmly introduced the specially invited expert Professor Liu Hongjing to the students.
In the lecture, Professor Liu generously displayed family photos and shared his life experience, combined with the historical evolution, development history, design ideas, and specific processes of Zijintang Group companies. He systematically taught the introduction and principles of corporate governance”, “ how to promote corporate governance”, how to strengthen the functions of the board of directors and other corporate management and governance thinking. In this lecture, Professor Liu took the theme of corporate governance and combined his own experience as a practical case to explain in simple terms about the business strategies including the background of enterprise development plan blueprint, the company's organizational structure and functions, governance measures and strategic goals. He also addressed some questions to encourage students to discuss in groups, think deeply, and inspire them to combine what they have learned with business management and truly apply the knowledge.
Professor Liu's lecture is close to reality, and the cases are rich, which has important guidance and reference for the students future career. It also provided students with an opportunity to meet with well-known entrepreneurs face-to-face. The students said that through this lecture, they deeply got an entrepreneur's outstanding personal charm and the spirit of management excellence, which can be said to be very rewarding and beneficial.
