The School of Business Administration has successfully passed the BGA gold medal re accreditation in mainland China


On September 4th, the School of Business Administration received an official email from the Business Graduates Association (BGA) in the UK, notifying the school that it has successfully passed BGA re certification and has been granted the longest re certification period of five years. The school has also become the first institution in mainland China to independently obtain BGA gold medal re certification, further consolidating its position in the field of international business education.

On June 23-24, a certification visit expert team appointed by BGA conducted a two-day on-site visit to the school. The certification expert group is chaired by Professor Veneta Andonova Zuleta, former Dean of the School of Management at the University of Andes in Colombia. Professor Andrea Sianesi, former President and Dean of the Management Research Institute at Politecnico di Milano in Italy, Professor Wang Zhongming, Director of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Center at Zhejiang University and International Advisor for AMBA&BGA China Affairs, and Mr. George lliev, Director of Strategic and Innovation of AMBA&BGA Accreditation, participate as members of the group. Liu Yaobin, Secretary of the School Party Committee, Deng Hui, President, Li Chungen, Vice President, as well as relevant department heads from the Party Office, School Office, Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, International Cooperation and Exchange Office, attended the accreditation meeting and had discussions with the accreditation expert group. All members of the School of Business Administration team, leaders of model majors and demonstration courses, relevant administrative teachers, employers, alumni, student representatives, and members of the accreditation working group participated in the on-site visit.



Liu Yaobin welcomes and thanks the arrival of the accreditation expert group. He pointed out that JUFE has full confidence in passing the BGA gold medal re accreditation, and JUFE will take the opinions and suggestions of the expert group as an important basis to promote the continuous improvement of work quality and efficiency, and achieve the goal of continuous improvement.


During the meeting with experts, Deng Hui introduced the JUFE's educational history and disciplinary construction, as well as the central ideas and strategic directions of the universitys future development plan. At the same time, he emphasized the outstanding achievements of JUFE in international education and looked forward to strengthening cooperation and exchanges with international organizations, including BGA, to jointly promote the development of international education in the university.


During the visit, Hu Haibo, Dean of the School of Business Administration, delivered a keynote report on behalf of the school to the accreditation expert group, elaborating on the school's basic situation, current development status, and five-year strategic plan for the future. Hu Haibo stated that under the guidance of the Continuous Influence (CIM) model, the school has implemented the "5S Action Plan" for outstanding development in the future, continued to actively promote the construction of first-class disciplines, and improved the level of education and social reputation from six dimensions, cultivating a group of business talents that meet market demand for social and economic development.


In the subsequent accreditation process, the expert group visited teaching buildings, offices, laboratories and other facilities, and held special symposiums with full-time faculty representatives, employer representatives, MBA and undergraduate model major leaders, school and management administrative faculty representatives, current students and alumni representatives. According to the BGA gold accreditation standard, in-depth exchanges were conducted on the development of disciplines, talent cultivation, professional construction, scientific research, enrollment and employment, alumni relations, social responsibility and other aspects of the school.

At the accreditation feedback meeting, the expert group fully affirmed the work and achievements of the university and school, highly praised the talent cultivation and social service work of the school, and also put forward targeted suggestions for the continuous improvement of the school's strategy, faculty, curriculum, and other aspects.

Since obtaining the BGA Gold Accreditation for the first time in February 2022, the School of Business Administration has been guided by accreditation standards, continuously optimizing its governance structure, deepening teaching reform, and expanding international resources. It has deeply integrated the BGA Continuous Impact Model (CIM) into the school's "14th Five Year Plan" development plan. Over the past three years, the school has achieved remarkable results in high-quality business education, responsible management practices, and the construction of a lifelong learning system, receiving widespread praise from all walks of life.

The passing of this re accreditation is a full affirmation of the school's long-term commitment to high standard international education and continuous pursuit of excellence. It will also further promote the school's new journey to enhance its international influence and build a high-level business school.


BGA Background Introduction

The Business Graduates Association (BGA) was originally founded in 1967 as an international membership and quality assurance organization, composed of world leading and promising business schools, committed to responsible management practices and lifelong learning, and hoping to bring positive impact to students, society, and the entire economy. In 1987, BGA was renamed AMBA. AMBA International Accreditation, along with AACSB and EQUIS, are the three authoritative international accreditation systems for business schools worldwide. In 2018, BGA International Accreditation resumed, focusing on promoting business education on a wider global scale, strengthening the influence and responsibility management practices of business education, and advancing lifelong learning mechanisms. School of Business Administration, JUFE won the BGA gold medal international accreditation in February 2022, becoming the first BGA independently accredited gold medal institution in Chinese Mainland.
