The School of Business Administration (SBA) of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) was originally named the Department of Industrial Economics in 1979. It was granted the right to confer a master degree in 1986, and renamed as SBA in 1998. In 2010, the school was authorized to confer a doctorate degree. In 2014, the school was awarded the National Advanced Group of the Educational System. It got Chinese Advanced Management Education Accreditation (CAMEA) in 2017, joined the membership of Business Graduates Association (BGA) and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2019, the membership of 

Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) in 2020, the membership of Asia Academy of Management (AAOM), Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS) and The China - ASEAN Tourism Education Alliance (CATEA) in 2021, and the membership of European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in 2022. In 2022, it received accreditation from BGA. In 2024,  it joined the membership of Central and East European Management Development Association(CEEMAN) .

With development of four decades, the school has formed a talent cultivation system at all levels, including bachelor's, master's, and doctoral (post-doctoral), and has trained nearly 40000 talents of all kinds for the country.

Enhanced disciplinary strength.

The school has a master's program, a doctoral program and a post-doctoral research station in the first-level discipline of Business Administration. It has the only interdisciplinary doctoral program (digital science and management engineering) in JUFE. The school is among the third batch of MBA training institutions in China and the first in Jiangxi province. It is also among the second batch of EMBA training institutions over the nation and the only one in Jiangxi province. The school has been included in the annual Top 50 Best MBA Programs of China Business Schools for four consecutive years. It consists of Institute of China Management Thought, Research Center for Specialization, Refinement, Differentiation, Innovation of Enterprises, Tourism Development Research Institute and other research institutions; it has key research bases for humanities and social sciences among universities in Jiangxi Province, provincial scientific research bases such as the “Happy Industry” Industry and Education Strategic Alliance in Jiangxi Province, and the Industry and Education Information Operation and Maintenance Platform in Jiangxi Province. It is the first member unit of the Pilot Jiangxi think tank in Jiangxi Province and the first BGA-accredited business school in mainland China, and the first (only) school in JUFE that obtains international business accreditation. The school won the AACSB Innovations That Inspire Award (the third award-winning university in the country) in 2023.

The first-class discipline in Business Administration was awarded a B + grade in the fourth round of China Discipline Ranking (CDR), ranking in the top 20% of the 240 universities participating in the evaluation; it was selected as a first-class discipline in Jiangxi Province and a key discipline in Jiangxi Province. As the 20th university in the country, it successfully passed the CAMEA; the Master of Business Administration (MBA) was awarded a B + grade in the first national professional degree level evaluation, ranking in the top 25% of the 194 MBA training institutions in the country.

Unique brand image by major development 

The school has undergraduate majors including Business Administration (Smart Business), Marketing (Digital Marketing), Human Resource Management (Digital Human Resources), Logistics Management (Smart Supply Chain), International Marketing and Tourism Management (Digital Tourism), as well as the multiple Industry-University Collaborative Education Pilot Classes. All the undergraduate major of the school have all been selected as National First-Class Undergraduate Major Construction Sites.

Among them, Marketing is one of the National Characteristic Specialties, the provincial first-class specialty and a provincial brand specialty; Business Administration and Human Resource Management are provincial featured programs and were enrolled as provincial comprehensive reform pilot projects; Tourism management is a provincial specialty and a provincial brand specialty.The majors in Business Administration was rated as “Five Star Plus”in the competitiveness rankings of Chinese universities and disciplines from 2021 to 2022, ranked 6^th among the 1089 participating universities, and ranked 4^th among participated Finance and Economics Colleges and Universities.

Distinctive mode of personnel training.

Focusing on the goal of cultivating innovative and entrepreneurial talents, the school actively promotes teaching reform and teaching quality development, takes classroom teaching, practical teaching and online teaching as a three-dimensional platform, to comprehensively improve students' skills and abilities, enhancing their competitiveness. The school currently has more than 2,500 students of various types.

The school has developed a number of professional courses that combine with modern digital technologies such as AI, big data, and mobile Internet, and has 7 national-level excellent courses and 30 provincial-level excellent courses and gold courses (times).

The school has a central and local co-construction of advantageous discipline laboratories, and cooperates with companies such as China Mobile, Suning Logistics, Jiangling Motors Corpo, Shanghai Lianjia, Decathlon, Lidu Liquor Co. Ltd., etc. to build more than 100 practical practice bases.

The students of the school have won many international and national discipline competitions, such as the national top eight in NIBS international business case competition, the gold medal in the national finals of the college student entrepreneurship competition, the first prize of the national finals of the college students' management decision simulation competition, the first prize of the national logistics design competition, the first prize of the national college students' business negotiation and planning competition, and so on.

The school has trained a large number of outstanding economic management talents for the country's social and economic development, and has cultivated outstanding alumni such as Zheng Yuewen, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Kerui Group, Jiang Long, Secretary of the Party Group and Inspector of the Office of the Financial Inspector of the Ministry of Finance in Tianjin, Zheng Xiang, former Party Secretary of the Jiangxi Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Liao Luming, former executive deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance, Zhang Heqing, Chairperson of Suzhou Heji Investment Co., Ltd., Zhang Lijiang, Chairperson of Shanghai Huizhao Information Technology Co., Ltd., Tan Pingyuan, Chairperson of Jiangsu Eagle Group, Peng Xin, Chairperson of Shenzhen Pindao Catering Co., Ltd., and the founder of Naxue Tea, Dr. Liao Zhenyu from the National University of Singapore and postdoctoral fellow at Northeastern University, and Xu Bo, who took root in grassroots work and was received by General Secretary Xi Jinping, etc.

Strong faculty team.

The school has formed a teaching and scientific research team with reasonable age structure and professional title structure, having rich teaching experience and strong scientific research ability. The school currently has 130 faculty members,including 105 full-time teachers, 64 professors and associate professors, 25 doctoral supervisors, and 82 master supervisors. The doctorate rate of teachers is 85%, and the proportion of teachers who have overseas study and exchange experience reaches 60%. Among them, there are 3 people who enjoy special government allowances, 1 national model teacher, 1 member of the Business Administration Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, 1 member of the National Business Administration Professional Degree Postgraduate Education Steering Committee, 1 national ten million talent project candidate, a total of more than 30 people (times) are provincial famous teaching teachers, 555 engineering talents of Provincial Ganpo Yingcai, Provincial Double Thousand Plan talents, Jinggang Scholars Distinguished Professor, Provincial ten million talent project candidates, Provincial Young Jinggang Scholars, Provincial Middle-aged Youth Discipline Leaders and Backbone Teachers,

Abundant teaching and research achievements. 

In recent years, the school has undertaken a total 53 national natural science foundation of China (NSFC) projects and 32 national social science foundation of China (SSFC) projects (including 2 major bidding projects and 1 key project) and 2 national social science fund late-stage funding projects; in the past five years, a total of 89 monographs and textbooks have been published, and nearly 300 Chinese and English papers have been published; and many research results of the think tank have been approved by provincial leaders.

The school is dedicated to the research of Chinese management thought, established the Research Institute of China Management Thought, and completed the first Chinese Management Thought Culture Park in a national university. It compiled and completed the History of Ancient Chinese Management Thought (Multi-Volume)  and The Essence of Chinese Management Thought Series, and won the first prize of the 4th Jiangxi Provincial Theoretical Achievement Award and the 19th Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award. Relevant theoretical articles won the 5th Jiang Yiwei Academic Achievement Award. Joined more than 20 universities and scientific research units across the country to issue the 2021 Chinese Management Philosophy (Nanchang) Declaration, which issued the voice of Jiang Cai for Chinese management thought to go global.

Faculty members of the school have published 8 English cases in Harvard Business Publishing in the United States and Ivey Publishing in Canada, the world's largest and most influential case database; a total of 46 cases have been awarded the National 100 Excellent Management Cases, ranking first in the country and the province; 3 Chinese and English cases have been included in the Ministry of Education China Professional Degree Case Center Case Library; the teaching achievements formed around the cases have won the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award and the first prize of the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award three times. The school won the 2022 Ram Charan Management Practice Award and the first AIS Impact Award of the Association for Information Systems (there is only 3 in the world).

Steady rise in employment and education.

In the past three years, the average initial employment rate of undergraduates in the school is 91.17%. The employment of graduates is widely distributed in Industrial and Commercial Bank of China(ICBC), Bank of China, Bank of Communications, China Construction Bank, Postal Savings Bank, China Merchants Bank and other major banks, as well as Vanke, Evergrande, Greenland, Fangtai, Shanshan, Oaks, Deli, Debon, SF Express and other first-class enterprises in the industry. The proportion of civil servants admitted is about 5%, and the overall satisfaction of the contracting units for our graduates is 96.32%.

In 2022, the domestic admission rate of undergraduates for postgraduate education of the school is 25%. About 60% are admitted to double first-class construction universities such as Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Jinan University; a group of graduates go to Leeds University, University of Southampton, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and other world-renowned universities for further study.

In 2022, the domestic admission rate of undergraduates for postgraduate education of the school is 25%, which about 60% of the students has been admitted to double first-class construction universities such as Renmin University of China, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Jinan University and etc. A group of graduates went to the University of Leeds, University of Southampton, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and other world-renowned universities for postgraduate education.

International cooperation is open and deepening.

The school has carried out multi-level cooperation programs with more than 20 foreign universities and research institutions, such as establishing Digital Enablement Research Network (DERN), International Case Research Association(ICRA), Sino-British Research Centre in International Business (SBRCIB) with universities in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and other countries, hosting Structured-Pragmatic-Situational (SPS) case study methodology seminar, high-quality case studies and case teaching international seminars and jointly carried out international projects such as the European Union Seventh Framework Program Project.

The school runs the Sino-American MBA program in collaboration with New York Institute of Technology in the United States which has trained more than 2000 compound international senior management elites over the past 25 years and awarded the Best Sino-foreign Cooperation Program of Chinese Business Schools” for three consecutive years (2020-2022).

The collaborate program between the school and Aalborg University (AAU) in Denmark, which carries out international cooperative research, joint training of students, and mutual visits of teachers, has become the first China Scholarship Council (CSC) international cooperative training project for innovative talents in JUFE, and has received full funding from CSC for two periods of 6 years (cumulative 7.12 million yuan).
