In order to deeply explore the integration of the core of Gan Shang culture and modern enterprise management innovation, and provide reference for the creative transformation, innovative development, and modern management of Gan Shang culture, the 2025 Cultural Gan Po Summer Ideological and Political Activity of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics' "Knowledge and Action Gan Shang" Key Practice Team conducted entrepreneur interviews in Hejun Town, Huichang County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province on the afternoon of July 5th. The leader of the practice team, He Sanbao, and the Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Business Administration, led the practice team to participate in this interview. Wang Qiulin, the Chairman of Hejun Town Development Co., Ltd., was invited for the interview.

Hejun Group, founded by Chairman Wang Mingfu in Beijing in 2000, has gradually formed three major segments: consulting, capital, and business training. It is one of the largest consulting institutions in Asia. Hejun Town was founded by Wang Mingfu in response to the call of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to build a revolutionary old area and the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Government for Gan merchants to return to Gan for entrepreneurship. In 2018, he resolutely returned to his hometown of Huichang County, Ganzhou City with a planned total investment of more than 5 billion yuan to establish an education town. Through the integration of industry and education, he aims to create a characteristic town path of "education driven, talent gathering, livable and business friendly, and prosperous industry". Hejun Town Development Co., Ltd. is the construction and operation party of the town, providing operational services around themes such as education, health, conferences, sports, cultural tourism, housing, entrepreneurship, and industry.

Wang Qiulin pointed out in the interview that innovation and hard work are the core of the spirit of Gan merchants, and elaborated on it in conjunction with the history of Gan merchants. In terms of promoting and serving Gan merchants, Wang Qiulin suggested that Jiangxi universities, especially key institutions like Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, "can recall outstanding alumni, make reasonable use of alumni resources, regularly hold Gan merchant alumni forums, invite influential Gan merchant elites in the industry to participate, and play a leading role as role models." He also mentioned that the government can provide policy support and continuous funding investment, combined with school education, that is, organically combine Gan merchant promotion with talent cultivation, and promote the coordinated development of Gan merchant culture dissemination and talent cultivation.

Wang Qiulin talked about Wang Mingfu's practice of establishing vocational schools and carrying out school enterprise cooperation, which is highly consistent with the traditional emphasis on both business and Confucianism in Gan merchants. He pointed out that Hejun Education has achieved a "three win" situation: for Gan commercial enterprises, the most crucial thing is talent. Schools provide enterprises with the talent they need, and as long as the talent is of high quality, the enterprise will definitely be of high quality; For schools, they set up majors based on the needs of enterprises, such as rare earth, new energy, low altitude economy, equestrianism, drama, etc., to form their own educational characteristics; For students, the school implements the "1.5 years of theoretical learning+1.5 years of enterprise internship" model, cooperates with enterprises to provide employment opportunities for students, and achieves the goal of entering the enterprise as soon as they enter the school, improving the matching degree and quality of employment.

In addition, Wang Qiulin emphasized that the development of Gan merchants is inevitably influenced by digitization, stating that "when enterprises reach a certain height or the external environment reaches this stage, they must embrace digitization." He suggested that "Gan merchant enterprises can fully exert their pioneering spirit, adapt to the trend of digitization, actively and rationally plan and adapt to digitization, and achieve high-quality development through digitization, such as carrying out digital office and teaching in Hejun Town and Hejun Vocational and Technical school, cultivating the talents needed for the times, and injecting sustained vitality into the inheritance and innovation of Gan merchant culture
