On September 14, the 2020 freshmen opening ceremony was held in the campus auditorium. The leading group of the school, attended with more than 690 freshmen from all levels. Deputy Secretary Party Zhou Haiyan hosted this ceremony.
The ceremony began with a solemn national anthem.
Hu Haibo, dean of the college, congratulated the new students on joining JUFE, giving a speech entitled "Focus on the things that only you can control". Secretary Party Huang Wende, who reviewed the extraordinary 2020 that the whole nation has experienced and introduced the history of the School of Business Administration and the representative of its outing alumni.In his speech, he sent a message to the freshmen: to be a practitioner of goals and ideals, to be a dreamer with excellent character and learning, to be a guardian of your physical and mental health. At the same time, he hoped that all of us could keep our feet on the ground, aim high and strive for the great rejuvenation of Chinese national. Keeping on diligent, realising and innovation, and strive for the double first-class career of the school;cultivate one’s morality,tolerate the atmosphere, and study for becoming the talent needed by the country.
The school leaders Hu Haibo, Huang Wende and Ning Liang awarded the class flag to the MBA&EMBA class.
On behalf of the teachers, professor Zhan Xiaojun expounded the connotation and characteristics of management discipline in his speech. He proposed that management is not only an art but also a science. Meanwhile, he hoped that students could cherish the college’s life, try hard to temper the scientific spirit of seeking truth and practicality, swim in the ocean of knowledge to grow.
Alumnus Xiao Fan, major in 2004 business administration , shared his beautiful time in college. He hoped that the junior students could master learning methods, and learning ability, cultivate healthy hobbies and exercise body, establish a good interpersonal relationship, correctly handle the relationship between love and study, do a light dream in our heart to lay a foundation for a wonderful life.
The seniors in college sent their best wishes to freshmen, and representative of freshmen expressed their yearning for college life through video. MBA class YiNa who was as a new student representative shared her experience of applying for JUFE, pursing the dream of JUFE, achieving the dream of JUFE. She also expressed the determination that freshmen should keep the school’s motto in mind and contribute to the “Jiangcai Dream of famous universities for a hundred years.”
At the ceremony, the head teacher who wore the school emblem for the freshmen was hired in the new class. All the freshmen read the freshmen declaration at the ceremony.
The ceremony ended with a song of JUFE. In the next two days, the freshmen will successively participate in safety and mental health education, meeting between new and old students, professional education, patriotism and national defense knowledge education, party and league knowledge education and other enrollment education activities.
