On the morning of November 29th, Hannah-Hanh. Nguyen, a lifelong associate professor at the University of Hawaii's Shidler School of Business,was invited by the ISHRM to give an academic lecture entitled “Applying gamification to teaching business ethics”. This is also a keynote speech commemorating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up and the 40thanniversary of the re-election (95th anniversary of the school).The lecture was held in the room 516 Gongshang Building on MaiLu Campus. Prof. Jie Yang,director of the ISHRM, chaired the lecture and many professors and studentsattended the lecture.

Hannah first explained the “Aloha Spirit” to the teachers and students.This word is derived from Hawaiian and represents a moral code. Then, from this term, she introduced the theme of “Applying gamification to teaching businessethics”, explained in detail the concepts of “business ethics” and “businessethics education” as well as the reasons and benefits of gamification inbusiness ethics teaching. Hannah pointed out that teaching through virtual games can make business ethics more attractive to students and easier to understand. In the interactive session of the lecture, Hannah presented avirtual business ethics game “Marketing Mayhem”, which led teachers and students experience different game scenarios and further discussions with participants on the classroom teaching format. Subsequently, she combined the game case with the specific research, explained the research plan and implementation steps in detail, and proved that the game application has important significance for business ethics teaching. In the research outlook, Hannah also pointed out that gamified business ethics teaching can contribute to thestudy of business ethics assessment and empathy effects in the future. Through active participation and interaction, the teachers and students not only experienced the fun of business ethics games, but also learned more aboutbusiness ethics.

Finally, Prof. Jie Yang summarized this lecture. He pointed out that Hannah'sresearch has brought us two inspirations: First, the cooperation atmosphere ofa team plays an important part in the virtual business ethics game as each member of the team can exert his own advantages to achieve the team's goals.Second, the use of game in business ethics teaching reflects the important value of formal innovation to enhance the attractiveness of the curriculum.Therefore, he further encouraged the teachers and graduate students present totake their own research work seriously, and strive to cultivate innovative thinking, so that each research can have novelty and practical value.
