Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics Research Center for Industrial Cluster and Enterprise Development

Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics Research Center for Industrial Cluster and Enterprise Development was set up in July, 1998 (formerly known as Research Center for Development of Private Enterprise) and was approved as the Key Study Base for Humanities and Social Sciences of Jiangxi Universities by Education Department of Jiangxi in April, 2003, which was aimed at establishing the high-level organization of scientific research, gathering and cultivating excellent academic talents and conducting researches on key theoretical and practical problems involved in academic foreland and social economic development based on national and provincial development strategies.

Major research directions of the center include growth study for industrial cluster, development researches for industry zones, researches on business operations and managements. The first issue is accumulating rich achievement on the aspects of growth mechanism & growth environment of industrial cluster and its morphological evolution rules and others; The second issue is concentrating on the researches on growth environment, operational mechanism & supporting system of industry zones and relevant enterprises competition and cooperation behaviors in the zones; and the third issue is focusing on business operations and managements researches and carrying on related researches from multiple perspectives of regional economics, enterprise organizations, human resources, traditional cultures, family businesses, external networks, institutional changes.

The scientific research ability, academic level, academic brand of the center are widely accepted by the society. Subjects of industrial economy and business management supported by the center are key subjects trained intensively by Education Department, as well as in the province, so researches on the aspects of industrial economy & business management and others have outstanding characteristics and comparative advantages. For years, the center achieved influential research results, and published monographs works, academic papers on domestic and overseas significant journals and magazines like “Management World”, and provided scientific research consulting reports for governmental departments and enterprises. Furthermore, multiple scientific achievements have provincial-level incentives. The center undertakes multiple projects funded by NSFC, the national funds of social science, and Education Department Fund and Jiangxi key research subjects, enterprise commissioned topics.

The center keeps friendly cooperative relationship with government and enterprises for long time following high-quality and punctual accomplishments of massive scientific research projects. The center will continue to consult research for industrial cluster, zone constructions, business operations & managements and offers high-quality and consulting services for the government and enterprises.

The Research Center for Innovation and Strategic Human Resource Management （RC-ISHRM）

The Research Center for Innovation and Strategic Human Resource Management （RC-ISHRM）is a research institute jointly initiated and established by Institute for Global Innovation Management (IGIM for short), Northeastern University (NU for short) and School of Business Administration (SBA for short), Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE for short).

NU, founded in 1898, is the fourth-largest private university in the USA, comprehensively ranking 62 in the 2012 edition of Best Colleges. NU’s co-op programs are one of the largest and most innovative in the world. IGIM is an internationally recognized research center for developing effective approaches and solutions to global innovation management and for the development and dissemination of teaching materials concerning the global challenges facing technology intensive companies.

JUFE, founded in 1923, is a comprehensive institution of high learning focusing on economics and management. JUFE is further committed to remaining a leading contributor to Jiangxi’s economics development and to the globalization of China’s higher education. SBA was preceded by the Department of Industrial Economy established in 1979. SBA has been growing fast along with the reform, opening-up and development of the Chinese economy. At present, SBA is home to four departments, namely, General Management, Human Resources Management, Marketing, and Logistics Management. SBA possesses one Nationally Distinguished Primary Discipline in business administration and one Distinguished Secondary Disciplines in general management.
