The 29th NIBS Global Case Competition Finals successfully concluded in JUFE





On the afternoon of March 21st, the final of the 29th NIBS International Case Competition was held in the Y105 Lecture Hall of the Graduate School at Jiaoqiao Campus. After 5 days of intense competition, representative teams from four universities, Rotterdam University of Applied Science, EPHEC (Belgian Higher Education Institute), Babes bolyai University (Babis Boyai University in Romania), and Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences in Germany), stood out and met in the finals. In the finals, each participating team conducted in-depth analysis around Tencent Games' innovative case, starting from multiple perspectives such as strategic planning, operational management, and marketing, proposing strategies such as investment services, data analysis, and introducing innovative elements, and analyzing the core issues of the case step by step. In the end, the Babes bolyai University team won the global championship with outstanding performance, while EPHEC and Rotterdam University of Applied Science won the runner up and third place respectively. The representative team of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, mainly composed of students from the School of Business Administration, successfully broke through the group stage in the previous competition and ultimately won the top eight in the world (ranked 6th).
After the final, the closing ceremony and award ceremony of the competition were held immediately. Vice President Professor Fang Yuming, NIBS Chairman Professor Hans VANOUDHEUSDEN, Vice President of Zhenjiu Lidu Group and General Manager of Lidu Liquor Industry Tang Xiangyang, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of the university Gong Meijun, Dean of the School of Business Administration Professor Hu Haibo, Party Secretary Professor He Sanbao, as well as relevant leaders of the organizers, contractors and sponsors attended.

At the closing ceremony, a unique Chinese style celebration wine opening ceremony and cultural performances were arranged. The on-site leaders, guests, and all participants raised fine wine carrying beautiful wishes and clinked glasses with each other, wishing each other well.

Hans reviewed the process of a high-intensity competition that lasted for a week in his closing speech. From the initial requirement sorting and scheme design, to the difficult development and testing optimization in the middle stage, to the tense deployment in the later stage, every step embodies the team's hard work and sweat. He expressed high appreciation for the participants, especially the coaches and students, while sharing his dual identity as both a participant and a coach, and deeply understanding the efforts of his peers behind the competition. Hans wishes everyone significant progress in this excellent opportunity for learning, cultural exchange, and competition, and believes that a week of events has become a profound memory that will never be forgotten.

Hu Haibo congratulated the outstanding teams in his speech. He said that we are delighted to see the spirit and wisdom of young students from around the world. With innovative thinking and rigorous analysis, you have given new solutions to real business cases, allowing us to see the infinite possibilities of future business. Hu Haibo also pointed out that the NIBS International Case Analysis Competition is a stage of "harmony in diversity", where teams gather together to share unique insights from different cultural backgrounds, showcase their "different" characteristics in the competition, and embody the spirit of "harmony" in communication and collaboration. "Harmony in diversity" is the most valuable quality we need in this globalized era. Hu Haibo hopes to further strengthen cooperation with global business schools and enterprises with international perspectives in the future, jointly promote innovative development of business education and practice, and enable young students to continuously grow through connection and practice, becoming an important force leading future business progress.











The attending guests are the teams that won the championship, runner up, and third place, as well as the teams and players who won individual awards such as Best Inspired Coach, Best Individual Performance, and Most Dynamic Team, as well as the referees and volunteer representatives of the event, presenting certificates and souvenirs. The team that won the championship received the trophy from the previous champion.

As the organizer of the next competition, the University of Guelph Humber played a promotional video at the closing ceremony and looks forward to meeting everyone in Toronto, Canada for next year's competition.

At the end of the ceremony, the organizing committee of the competition collectively took the stage to express gratitude and thank all the staff who have worked hard for the competition.
The successful holding of this competition provides a stage for global students with different cultural backgrounds to showcase their wisdom and talents, promotes academic exchanges and business thinking collisions between different countries and regions, and effectively promotes the internationalization of the school's education. The School of Business Administration has also gained valuable experience in case development and teaching through exchanges and competitions with peers around the world. In the future, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and the School of Business Administration will continue to adhere to the open and inclusive educational philosophy, continuously cultivate students' awareness of international competitiveness, and work with global business schools to promote the internationalization of talent cultivation in the field of business management, inspiring more students to engage in business innovation and practice, and contribute wisdom and strength to global business development.
