Chinese Dream English Speech Contest Held

The annual English Speech Contest organized by the Academic Department of the International School was held in the evening of December 7th. Party Branch vice Secretary Xia Xianfeng and foreign teachers Roy, Victor, Stan, Raren were present at the contest and acted as judges.
At the very beginning, contestants in the finals were divided into three groups and performed funny stage plays. The Merchant of Venice, The Big Bang Theory, English opusculum all gained the warm applause from the audience.
Then comes the prepared speech titled “My Chinese Dream”. With great enthusiasm and passion, contestants expressed their devotion to the nation and depicted the Chinese Dream blueprint in their eyes. After the intermission games, the impromptu speech which requires more confidence and wisdom brought the contest to the highlight of the night. The contest ended in a pleasant atmosphere of interaction between contestants and judges.
Ms. Chu Yiheng from 2014 International Finance 2 got the first place in the contest. She said, “I spent a lot of time making preparation for the contest of tonight. But now, it seems all my devotion to it are worthwhile.”
